The majority of our swarms and hives are donated to a Co-Op Network dedicated to saving and rehabilitating feral bee swarms, but every now and then one of our swarms will be donated directly to a backyard beekeeper. In order to receive the swarms, the beekeeper must agree to re queen the colony and practice responsible beekeeping. The video clip below shows one such donation to a backyard beekeeper. It’s bee paradise! Not only did this lucky swarm get a new custom hive box, they also get to share a large plot of land with fruit trees, hens, and an organic garden. Lucky Bees!
