Project Description
Covered backyard patio furniture are very susceptible to attracting bees. It gives them protection from the elements and most people do not move their patio furniture so it becomes a stable environment.
In this case it was covered by a tarp and hadn’t been removed for months. When we lifted the tarp the honeycomb had become disconnected from the tarp and broke into a few pieces.
By the looks of it this hive was about a month old. We were able to place the pieces of the hive in a Nucbox for transport to our bee farm. The patio was close to other tenants inside of an apartment complex so we took care of this one within an hour of receiving the call.
