The new year is right around the corner. Everywhere you go there are TV shows, radio programs, and blogs on the internet recapping the highlights of 2014. With everyone taking time to reflect upon the past year, we at Bee Best decided to dedicate this blog to last year’s bee season.
To celebrate the highlights of 2014, we are proud to present our top 5 favorite videos of the 2014 season.
#5 Summer Storms & Live Bee Removal 2014
Our 5th favorite video was chosen because it did more than just document a bee removal. It documented a news event. A freak summer storm in early September knocked over a shed on a small airport runway. A beehive under the floor of the shed became exposed after it toppled over.
#4 Bee Removal Video Game
Our 4th favorite video is a clip of a swarm removal from a house that was under construction. We chose this video to be in our top 5 because it is creative and unique. Instead of just a standard bee removal video, the creative team turned it into a faux video game. The best part of the video comes at the end when Jeff ‘The Bee Whisperer” Lutz does his happy dance.
#3 Showing off Bees
Our 3rd favorite video is a clip of The Bee Whisperer showing off captured bees to a crowd that gathered to watch him remove the swarm. It nicely captures the fascination people have with capturing live bees.
#2 A DIY Bee Suit
Our 2nd favorite video is a clip of a Do It Yourself-er who attempted to remove a hive of bees by himself. This brave/crazy guy created his own home made bee suit in an attempt to save his employer money. After a few stings he decided to call us instead.
#1 A New Arrival at the Bee Farm
Our favorite video of the 2014 bee season is not the most creative or unique. It wasn’t chosen for its news worthy-ness or its humor. It was chosen because it is a great example of what we at Bee Best are all about….saving the bees! We at Bee Best are proud to present this years top video of a large swarm of bees being dropped off at the bee clinic.
All of us here at Bee Best Bee Removal would like to thank you for reading our blog posts and wish you a Happy New Year! Cheers!
