The recent death of a Valley Center man who was clearing brush on his property was actually the result of wasp stings. The coroner did not specify the type of wasps that attacked the victim. We are guessing they may have been hornets. This is a very unusual and tragic event. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Bruce Umland, who was only 65 years old.
